Best Portable Power Station Under $1,000

7 of the 13 power stations we track land under $1,000 at the price on each manufacturer's own US store on October 29, 2026. Between the cheapest and the dearest of them you pay $400 more for 1.05 kWh more battery, so the gap inside one budget band is bigger than most buyers expect.

Short answer: the Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus gives the most stored energy per dollar under $1,000 — 1.26 kWh for $619 sale ($699 list), 2.04 Wh per $1. Over its rated 4,000 cycles that is $0.122 per stored kWh. It also leaves $381 of the budget unspent: if you want the capacity instead of the change, the biggest under $1,000 is the Bluetti Elite 200 V2 at $899 for 2.07 kWh.

All 7 under $1,000, and what they cover

Each column is rated capacity × 85% for inverter losses, divided by the energy that day needs. The device watts behind those days are starting values to edit against your own labels, not vendor figures.

“Not all at once” means the rated AC output is below the sum of those devices' watts; you can still run them in turns. Motors and compressors can draw two to three times their running watts at startup.Methodology

Is the next band up worth it?

The cheapest station above this budget is the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max at $1,049 sale ($1,299 list) for 2.05 kWh. That is $150 more than the biggest one under $1,000 and 26 Wh less battery, so the first step over the line buys output, charging speed or a brand, not capacity. The biggest above this budget is the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3: 4.10 kWh for $2,799 sale ($3,299 list), 1.46 Wh per $1. Per dollar nothing above this budget beats what fits inside it, so the band is not costing you value.
