Shopify Dev Dashboard now shows store and app install details
Shopify's Dev Dashboard now shows installed apps, collaborator access, earnings, and activity for each store, all in one place.
Shopify has added store and app install details to the Dev Dashboard. Developers and organization admins can now view their organization’s installed apps, collaborator access, earnings, and app activity in one place, according to the Shopify release notes published on October 27.
The new store view starts in Stores in the Dev Dashboard. Selecting a store shows the apps from the organization that are installed on it, the users in the organization who have collaborator access to that store, and earnings from the store. Those earnings include total app earnings, total theme earnings, and recurring revenue share. Readers can also drill down by app. Each app’s install details show gross lifetime earnings from that store, the app’s current subscription, and quick access to logs for that store. An activity feed lists installation and billing events.
To reach app-level details, developers open their app’s Overview, select the install count in the Installs card, and then choose a store.
Why it matters
Partners who build apps for many merchants often have to piece together install status, billing activity, and team access from different places. A single view per store makes it easier to spot problems, such as a billing event that needs attention or a collaborator who should no longer have access. The earnings breakdown also helps teams check revenue by store and by app.
What to do
Developers who manage Shopify apps should open the Stores section of the Dev Dashboard and review a few active stores to see what data appears. Note that available details depend on your permissions and store access, so some information may not show for every user. For the full list of available information and the permissions it requires, check Shopify’s documentation on store details and app install details.
